Since 2015, I have been primarily focused on the creation of figurative and less formalised pieces of art, characterised by a unique blend of the rigid structures of photography and the pliable effects of watercolour, a combination that serves as a powerful medium for representing the ideas depicted in my science fantasy literary novels.
My approach to this work is rooted in mixed media, a choice that allows me to transcend the mere recreation of objects in 3-dimensional space. Instead, it offers a complete reinterpretation of that space. The process of abstraction and adaptation generates a variety of shapes and colours, which become integral components of a visual language. This language, in turn, replaces the function of words and sentences, offering a more profound and immersive form of communication.
My work is not merely an attempt to narrate a specific situation or event. Rather, it is a deliberate endeavour to elicit an emotional response from the viewer, and to draw out sensations or experiences that are deeply embedded within the psyche. I believe that this unique approach to art and storytelling will set me apart in this field and mark my work as a truly innovative and thought-provoking.
